You walk the
crescent
moon of a Michigan
road,
lunar thresher.
The fabric of
fields,
the body of a
coyote,
a deer perhaps
floating in the
spoon
of a small lake.
Will skeletons rise
to greet you?
Cut a hole in the ice.
