I made a card for my mom on mother's day. It featured Tippy the labradoodle frolicking through some Queen Anne's lace with her tongue flying back in the wind. I decided to paint this watercolor of the wolf floating over the pines since I already had the watercolors out. I very rarely paint, but I had this vision of a wolf floating over the trees as I was driving to class a few years ago. I always wanted to capture it in watercolor so I gave it a shot.
Jeff Tatay was born and raised in Mishawaka, IN, but now lives in the West where he is an MFA in Creative Writing candidate and an Environment and Natural Resource candidate at University of Wyoming. His writing and photography are inspired by the biological and natural world and his investigation of environment and place. His poetry has appeared in Arsenic Lobster, Clare Literary Journal, Indigo Rising Magazine, Obsession Literary Magazine, Wyoming Public Media's Spoken Words, Tract/Trace: An Investigative Journal and other publications.
